Nonviolent Conflict Intervention (NCI) – Workshops, Trainings and Awareness
GPS has sponsored several presentations and discussions and a workshop featuring expert practitioners in the field of nonviolent conflict intervention and resolution. We are planning additional workshops and training sessions, some of which would focus on approaches to address and resolve conflict at the community level. Through this initiative GPS plans to develop, together with other groups, a curriculum for training volunteers to intervene with tested nonviolent strategies and approaches to address conflict situations. With completion of the curriculum, GPS intends to provide NCI training sessions in the Washington, DC area and beyond.
